James Chong, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist. He grew up in Houston and graduated valedictorian from Memorial High School. Dr. Chong received his Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from Rice University and Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine. He trained in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Prior to starting Chong Eye Center, Dr. Chong worked in a group practice in Dallas.

Dr. Chong is dedicated to his patients and their vision. From routine eye exams to eye problems requiring surgery, Dr. Chong gives each patient their clearest vision with the highest levels of safety and comfort.

When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters.
